Same Love!

Today I'm going to respond and tell you what I think about these specific lyrics in Mackelmore's song "Same Love".This song represents all the LGBT's  as Mackelmore talks about the stigma and things that happen to any LGBT. Anything highlighted is what I think is a good topic or a strong topic. Lets Go!

"Man, that's gay" gets dropped on the daily
We become so numb to what we're saying
A culture founded from
Yet we don't have acceptance for 'em
Call each oth
er faggots behind the keys of a message board
A word rooted in hate, yet our genre still ignores it
Gay is synonymous with the lesser
It's the same hate that's caused wars from religion
Gender to skin color, the complexion of your pigment
The same fight that led people to walk outs and sit ins
It's human rights for everybody, there is no difference!
Live on and be yourself

I think its important that someone as famous as Mackelmore to support LGBT marriage. In the Hallyu industry not many kpop stars show support in this. Recently (or maybe last year) Jonghyun (Bling Bling)from SHINee showed his support.

He changed his twitter picture to one of a paragraph that came from an article about LGBT rights. He tweeted his support to the writer who twitted a thank you note for his support. Later at a performance he did a special song he made and an intense performance with Taemin. I wont explain further but lets just say LOTS of fanfic was made. What I don't understand is that lots of people make fanfic about their idols. I feel bad for boy bands... Anyways, after Jonghyun did the performance people criticized him and called him gay and were totally against it. Before they would make a bunch of stories like that, and as soon as he did anything close to what they wrote they were against it.

I think that he did a good job making this song. My final thoughts are that this is a good song that opens eyes on reality. I think this song makes me support LGBT rights. I already did but this helps to show the pain in their point of view.

Comment on what you think, do you support or are you against? (Don't worry about me saying anything bad about you if you don't support). Thanks for reading. I only just know realized how much I wrote.
